Refund & Return Policy

Thank you for supporting The Mamasteader, operated by THE MAMASTEADER, LLC. Please review our policies regarding artisanal goods, digital products, and livestock below.

1. Artisanal Skincare & Personal Care

Due to the handcrafted and personal nature of our products (including tallow soaps, beeswax lip balms, and skincare), we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an item has shipped. This policy ensures the safety and hygiene of our homestead and our customers.

2. Digital Products

All sales of current and future digital products—including sourdough guides, homeschooling resources, and Grace +P checklists—are final and non-refundable. Once the digital file has been delivered, the sale is considered complete.

3. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If an order arrives damaged, please notify us at hello@mamasteader.com within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage. We will happily issue a replacement or store credit.

4. Fiber, Pelts, & Beeswax Wraps

Returns for unused, unopened fiber products, pelts, or wraps are accepted within 14 days of delivery. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

5. Livestock (Mamasteader Meadows Rabbitry)

  • Deposits: To hold a rabbit, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed-upon price is required. This deposit must be paid within 24 hours of the hold request. If the deposit is not received within this window, the rabbit will be released to the next buyer.
  • Pickup & Boarding: Rabbits must be picked up within 2 weeks of their “ready by” date. If a buyer cannot take possession within this timeframe, a $30.00 weekly housing and care fee will be applied to the final balance.
  • Nationwide Delivery: We offer delivery for our rabbits anywhere within the USA. Delivery fees are calculated based on a flat handling fee plus a per-mile rate (or third-party transport costs). Please contact us at hello@mamasteader.com for a custom delivery quote.
  • Rehoming & Refunds: We are committed to our animals for life. If at any point you can no longer care for a rabbit purchased from us, we will gladly take the rabbit back to ensure they have a safe home. However, we do not offer refunds on livestock once they have left our care.
  • Health Guarantee: A health guarantee is provided at the time of pickup/delivery. Once the animal is in your possession, its daily care and well-being are the responsibility of the buyer.

6. Shipping & Lost Packages

THE MAMASTEADER, LLC is not responsible for packages marked as “Delivered” by the carrier that are subsequently lost or stolen.
